HBO show “Girls” looks to film in Bay Ridge

The HBO show “Girls” is looking to film in Bay Ridge.

At least one watering hole in the nabe has been visited by Half a Yogurt Productions — the production company behind the hit series, currently filming its sixth and final season — with a letter stating that the crew is currently scouting a local bar for shooting.

According to the letter, penned by location scout Teddy Schneck, scenes at the location would involve the exterior and interior for a full business day in June, with some time allotted for preparation and restoration.

The show — created by and starring Lena Dunham — is no stranger to Brooklyn. Since its inception in April, 2012, “Girls” has been spotted filming in parts of Greenpoint, Williamsburg, Brooklyn Heights and Bed-Stuy, among other ‘hoods in the borough.

The romantic comedy-drama hones in on four young women (Dunham’s character Hannah Horvath included) as they live, love and learn in New York City.

“Girls” also stars Allison Williams, Jemima Kirke, Zosia Mamet, Adam Driver and Andrew Rannells, among others.
