Cops search for perp who grabbed 11-year-old girl in Bensonhurst

The NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a man, they say, grabbed an 11-year-old girl near West Seventh Street and Highlawn Avenue on Wednesday, June 8.

According to police, at around 2:50 p.m. on Wednesday, the girl was walking home from school along West Seventh Street when she was approached by a man who grabbed her shoulder and school bag. Cops say the man told the 11-year-old to come with him, but she fought him off. The man then fled on foot. Cops are calling the incident one of “endangering the welfare of a child.”

The perp is described as a white man between the ages of 25 and 30, 6’0″ tall and was last seen wearing a black jacket, black hoodie, grey sweatpants, and black sneakers.
