Cops search for knife-wielding thief

The NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a man connected to a robbery that occurred in the Boro Park area last week.

Cops say that on Wednesday, June 15 at approximately 5:15 a.m., the man – described as Hispanic, 5’4″ to 5’8,” weighing 160 to 180 pounds and in his mid 20s – approached a 45 year-old man while on a southbound “D” train approaching the Fort Hamilton Parkway subway station and flashed a knife at him.  The perp proceeded to remove the 45-year-old’s Samsung cellphone before fleeing.  He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt and tan cargo pants.
