Coney concert series promises fun throughout the summer

The Summer Series at Luna Park will continue Sunday, July 17 with a performance by rising solo pop singer, Ellise Gitas.

The event is one of a series that looks to highlight Brooklyn and New York City-based or born artists and performers by way of pop-up concerts, parties and other activities.

“The Summer Series is just one of the ways Luna Park celebrates the immense talent of our community,” said Alberto Zamperla, president of Zamperla Group, operator of Luna Park. “By creating and hosting such impressive and entertaining programming, we have the opportunity to not only showcase this local talent, but to also enhance the experience of our visitors this 2016 summer season.”

The series has promised to feature some of the most captivating programming this summer in order to enhance weekends at Coney Island further.

Activities will run through to September 4 and will be located throughout Luna Park. The upcoming lineup is as follows:

•         July 17:  Ellise Gitas, 4 p.m.
•         July 23: Magician Gary the Great, 5 p.m.
•         July 30: The Delorean Sisters, 4 p.m.
•         August 5: DJ Sasha Foo, 7 p.m.
•         August 6: Apostrophe Base 12 Party, 1 p.m.
•         August 20: SheRoxxx, 5 p.m.
