Cops seek suspect in Sheepshead Bay assault

The NYPD is seeking the public’s help in identifying an individual who was captured in a surveillance photo moments before committing an assault in Sheepshead Bay.

On Sunday, April 10 at 3:23 p.m., the suspect exited a store and proceeded to witness a 28-year-old man writing a summons for a vehicle parked in a ‘no standing’ zone at the corner of Ocean Avenue and Avenue U. The suspect then punched the man in the hand, got into the vehicle and fled in an unknown direction.

The suspect is described as male, Black, approximately 20-30 years of age, 5’ 10” tall, 180 pounds, with a medium complexion. He was last seen wearing black jeans and a black shirt.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers hotline at 800-577-TIPS or for Spanish 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
