Voting for Luna Park T-shirt design contest continues until Wednesday

Luna Park is asking for the community’s help in choosing the winner of this year’s Luna Park T-shirt Design Contest.

The designs of five finalists — Marisa Sparacio, Nicole Sparacio, Heather Monetti, Amy Klein and Bill Bates — have been selected for the contest, which is open until Wednesday, July 13 at 8 p.m. People may view the designs and vote on Luna Park’s Facebook page.

The winner of the contest will have his or her Coney Island-themed design applied to t-shirts sold at Luna Park’s new retail shop located at 1000 Surf Avenue. In addition, the winner will receive four Platinum Wristbands to the park, a $280 value.

“At Luna Park, we love celebrating the creativity and talent of our guests,” said Alberto Zamperla, president of Zamperla Group, the operator of Luna Park. “The Luna Park T-Shirt Design Contest showcases the impressive artistic ability of some of our guests and gives them the opportunity to see their work on display.”

The five finalists were narrowed down from 25 total entries submitted to a Luna Park judging panel. Judges selected the finalists based on the design’s originality, creativity, ability to sell and appropriateness for the park’s retail shop.

The winner of the contest will be announced on July 14.
