Wildlife Conservation Society urges New Yorkers to enter its 2017 calendar photo contest

If you’re planning a trip to the zoo, bring your camera!

Wildlife Conservation Society’s (WCS’s) Wildview Photo Blog is hosting a photo contest for the 2017 Wild View Calendar, and WCS is taking photo submissions from anyone who submits photographs from any of the five WCS wildlife parks in New York City: the New York Aquarium, Prospect Park Zoo, Bronx Zoo, Central Park Zoo  and Queens Zoo.

WCS’s photo department will be accepting and judging all submissions until Sunday, August 7, based on visual appeal, composition and originality. The photo entries will be narrowed down to the judges’ favorites, which will then be open for the public to assess, determining the winning shots for this year’s calendar.

Not only will the winning photographers have a featured photo in WCS’s Wild View Calendar, but they will also receive the WCS Family Premium Membership plus five copies of the printed 2017 calendar.

The winning photos will be announced later this summer. For submission instructions and contest rules, visit bit.ly/29yoHNP.
