A “Taste of Fifth Avenue” is back in Bay Ridge for its second appearance of the season.
After the successful kick-off of the inaugural Taste of Fifth back in June, Fifth Avenue will once again be lined with delectable treats, live entertainment and fun for the entire family on Friday, August 26 from 6 to 10 p.m.
Similarly to Third Avenue’s “Summer Stroll,” Fifth Avenue will be closed off to traffic from 73rd Street to 84th Street to give families the ideal opportunity to saunter leisurely down the strip, enjoying mouthwatering samples of food from the avenue’s best eateries and appreciating what the neighborhood has to offer.
“The first Taste of Fifth was a huge success, even bigger than anticipated, and we hope for a similar turnout on Friday.” said Denise Fogarty, executive director of the 5th Avenue Business Improvement District.
Sponsored by Bay Ridge’s 5th Avenue’s BID, the event promotes community business all while providing residents with the opportunity to enjoy quality time with friends and family. The array of rides, games, live musical performances and stores is bound to keep people of all ages and interests entertained.
This time around, along with more vendors participating, the BID has increased children’s activities with added game trucks and rides.
