“True Blood” star Chris Bauer seen on the set of “The Deuce” in Bay Ridge

HBO’s “The Deuce” used Bay Ridge as a backdrop once again on Tuesday, August 9.

The drama series starring James Franco and Maggie Gyllenhaal was seen filming in the vicinity of Shore Road, Narrows Avenue and 87th Street, inside of a Bay Ridge home.

On location was James Franco’s co-star, Chris Bauer, who plays Bobby Dwyer, the brother-in-law of James Franco’s characters, Vincent and Frankie Martino.

Bauer is known for his roles in television shows “True Blood” and “The Wire,” among other productions.

“The Deuce” — slated to premiere in 2017 — spotlights the rise of the porn industry in Midtown Manhattan from the early 1970s through the mid-’80s, according to deadline.com. Franco (who, at times, also serves as the show’s director) plays two roles – twin brothers who became became mob fronts in Times Square’s lucrative sex industry, while Gyllenhaal will play the role of a prostitute.

“The Deuce” also filmed on Fifth Avenue between Bay Ridge Avenue and 68th Street.
