After leaving an 18th Avenue pizzeria at around 1:20 p.m. on Sunday, August 28, a 39-year-old man was assaulted by a stranger with a baseball bat in broad daylight.
According to police, the 42-year-old male perp approached the victim after he left J&V Pizzeria, located at 6322 18th Avenue, and hit him in the left arm and left leg with the bat.
The 39-year-old received medical attention at the scene and the assailant was apprehended by police.
