Three men arrested in Dyker for stealing $1 million worth of frozen eel

Two men from Brooklyn and one from Queens were arrested on Monday, August 22 outside of Park Asia Restaurant (6521 Eighth Avenue) in Dyker Heights for allegedly stealing $1 million worth of frozen eel.

According to police, Fa Deng, 36, and Sheauloon Yat, 51, both from Brooklyn, along with Queens resident Wei Da Li, 39, were in possession of approximately $490,000 worth of the frozen delicacy when cops arrested them outside the Dyker dim sum joint.

The trio stole the boxed eel from a shipping port in New Jersey, cops say, and an investigation to locate the remaining boxes is ongoing.

According to reports, all three men were charged with felony criminal possession of stolen property.
