66-year-old woman robbed in broad daylight after exiting busy Bay Ridge station

A 66-year-old woman was followed, attacked and robbed by another woman while heading home in broad daylight last week.

The victim told police that the woman was on the subway with her when she got off at the 86th Street and Fourth Avenue stop at around 5:20 p.m. on Friday, September 9.

She further claims that the woman followed her off the train and proceeded to walk behind her on her way home. As she was approaching her home near Fifth Avenue and 85th Street, cops say the perp grabbed her by the shoulder and neck, and punched her in the face before stealing $157 and a MetroCard.

The thief then fled southbound on Fifth Avenue.
