One out of three suspects involved in a Friday morning car chase over the Verrazano Bridge has been taken into custody, according to police.
What started with a woman calling her family for help from inside of a vehicle in Staten Island – where she reportedly felt unsafe – ended in a chase and eventual crash in Dyker Heights, reports claim.
According to reports, the woman’s family called 911 and cops began to pursue the vehicle. The driver refused to pull over, however, leading police on the two-borough chase at around 6 a.m. The driver eventually crashed into other cars near 10th Avenue and 65th Street and the trio attempted to flee.
Cops were able to track down one of the perps and place him into custody and continue to search for the other two suspects.
