VIDEO: Cops seek suspects in Sunset robbery-turned-shooting

Cops are on the lookout for three men wanted in connection to a Sunset Park robbery that quickly spiraled into a shooting over the weekend.

According to police, just before 3 a.m. on Saturday, September 3, the three perps approached two men — one age 25 and the other age 26 — in a gray or silver BMW near 47th Street and Third Avenue. The three men then flashed a gun, according to cops, and took a gold chain off the first victim. When the second victim tried to hold onto his gold chain, police said, he was shot in the leg.

Emergency medical services responded and transported the man to an area hospital where he is currently listed in stable condition.

The suspects are all said to be light skin black or Hispanic, and anywhere from 20 to 25 years of age.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).  The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime stoppers website at www.nypdcrimestoppers.com or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then entering TIP577.
