Cops nab one of three suspects in Bay Ridge deli shooting

Cops have made an arrest in the Saturday, October 8 shooting inside Bay Ridge’s M & S Minimart, 7301 Third Avenue, that left four people wounded.

According to a police source, Ivan Jimenez, 29, of Sunset Park, was picked up around 11:40 this morning, and processed at the 68th Precinct around 6 p.m. this evening, in connection with the attack, in which police say two of the assailants, armed with guns, fired multiple shots, hitting several people inside the store. A third assailant wielded a knife in the attack. One shooter and the stabber are still at large.

Jimenez was charged with four counts of attempted murder, three counts of assault in the second degree, three counts of reckless endangerment in the first degree and three counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree.

The victims in the attack were a 28-year-old man who sustained a gunshot wound to the left armpit and buttocks, a 44-year-old man who sustained a gunshot wound to the chin, a 46-year-old man who sustained a gunshot wound to the back and a stab wound to the stomach, and a 33-year-old man who sustained a gunshot wound to the ankle.

All three suspects were described as Hispanic males in their mid to late 20s. One was last seen wearing a white shirt, long black shorts and a black baseball cap; another was last seen wearing blue jeans, a black hoodie and black and white sneakers; and the third was last seen wearing black pants, a black shirt and black shoes.
