Assailant arrested in connection to Thanksgiving Eve stabbing in Bay Ridge

A man has been arrested following a Thanksgiving Eve stabbing that took place on a busy Third Avenue corner, outside a popular Bay Ridge watering hole.

According to a police, a 22-year-old man was assaulted near the corner of Third Avenue and 87th Street on Thursday, November 24 at around 1:30 a.m.

Cops say the assailant exited a black vehicle with tinted windows and hit the 22-year-old in the face, mouth and jaw, and stabbed him in the left side of the abdomen.

According to two women in their early 20s who witnessed the incident, the suspect — who was later picked up by police on assault charges — then fled northbound on Third Avenue towards 86th Street.

The victim was treated at NYU Lutheran Medical Center.
