First-ever Whiskey Feast coming to Brooklyn this month

Brooklyn foodies and whiskey connoisseurs can rejoice this month as the inaugural Whiskey Feast makes its way to the borough.

A mashup of Cannonball Production’s popular Whiskey Fried Classic and Bacon and Beer Classic events, November 19’s Whiskey Feast will feature the best of both worlds for Brooklynites.

“This event is not your father’s whiskey tasting,” said Kate Levenstien, founder of Cannonball Productions and the Bacon and Beer Classic. “We are turning the stuffy, traditional tasting on its head with adventurous cocktails and small plates, a live DJ and brass band, disco ball, giant Jenga and more.”

According to Cannonball Productions, the festival will pair over 40 warming whiskies and cocktails with about 20 seasonal dishes from local chefs and restaurants.

The growing list of Feast participants includes Catoctin Creek Distilling Company, Highland Park Distillery and Copper Fox Distillery. Tres Carnes, Bareburger, Salt & Bone, Sweet Chili, Wheated and The Saint Catherine will be serving up delectable bites and sips on site.

The event will take place at the Brooklyn Expo Center (72 Noble Street) on Saturday, November 19 and there are two available sessions to choose from: an afternoon 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. session or an evening 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. session.

General admission tickets are currently selling at $59, early access tickets are selling at $79, and VIP tickets are selling at $115, with prices expected to increase over the next few weeks.

Additionally, VIP ticket holders will receive one hour early entrance and access to a specialty lounge with handcrafted cocktails; additional whiskey tastings; and exclusive, complimentary dishes. Tickets — all of which include a souvenir tasting glass — can be purchased here.
