Bad Santa arrested for Christmas Day burglary in South Slope

A 40-year-old man was arrested at around 6:15 a.m. on Christmas Day for attempting to burglarize a 41-year-old man’s apartment on Eighth Avenue and 15th Street.

According to cops, when the victim woke up in his apartment on Sunday, December 25, he said that his pants had been removed as the alleged perp went through his pockets and stole a wallet containing credit cards and $230.

As the victim confronted the suspect, he jumped out of the window.

Police say that when the perp landed, he dropped his debit and identification card. The victim ran to collect the cards.

Police arrived shortly and arrested the man on grand larceny charges.
