Cops seek woman behind assault in Sunset Park bar

Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a woman, caught on surveillance video, assaulting a woman in a Sunset Park bar last month.

On Thursday, November 17 at around 12 a.m., cops say the suspect approached a 30-year-old woman and her 27-year-old female friend at the Spot and Lounge, 483 39th Street, and tried to kiss the 30-year-old on the lips. When the victim resisted and pushed her away, the woman punched her in the face. The victim suffered a bloody nose, but did not seek medical attention. The individual fled the location in an unknown direction.

The perp is described as a Hispanic woman in her twenties, 5’8 to 5’10 tall, and 200 to 220 pounds. She was last seen wearing a dark colored hooded sweater, a dark colored jacket and blue jeans.
