Cops seek ATM-skimming crooks wanted for larcenies in Brooklyn and Staten Island

The NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying and locating four individuals wanted for questioning in connection to grand larceny incidents that occurred throughout Staten Island and Brooklyn this month.

According to police, throughout the month of January, the four individuals used skimming devices to target ATMs at two different Northfield Bank locations in Staten Island and one in Bensonhurst, located at 6410 18th Avenue.

In each of the Staten Island incidents, which occurred within the confines of the 122nd Precinct, a man, described in all three instances as white, would tamper with a surveillance camera and install an electronic skimming device on the ATM.

In the 18th Avenue incident, which occurred on Thursday, January 12 at around 7:36 a.m., a man – described as white, who was last seen wearing a blue baseball cap, blue jeans and black jacket –  made unauthorized ATM withdrawals from a victim’s bank account, while the victim was in possession of his card.

Anyone with information in regards to these incidents is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers hotline at 800-577-TIPS or for Spanish 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website at www.nypdcrimestoppers.com or texting their tips to 274637(CRIMES) then entering TIP577. All calls are strictly confidential.
