Cops say that an attempted robbery at a check cashing center at the corner of Bay Ridge Avenue and Fourth Avenue on Friday, January 20 fell flat.
According to a 23-year-old female employee, the would-be robber walked over to her at about 10 a.m. that morning and handed her a note stating “this is a robbery,” and also claiming that he had a gun and would use it if she didn’t hand over money.
The crook simulated a firearm in his jacket. However, no money was handed over, and the perp fled the scene westbound on Bay Ridge Avenue towards Third Avenue.
