Police seeking suspect related to attempted robbery in Bay Ridge

The NYPD is looking for a man suspected of committing an attempted robbery on Friday, March 24 in the confines of the 68th precinct.

At approximately 5:50 a.m. the suspect is said to have entered PLS Check Cashing on the corner of Bay Ridge Avenue and Fourth Avenue. It was reported to police that the man then passed a note to an employee demanding money. The employee walked away and called 911, at which time the suspect fled the business empty handed. There were no injuries reported.

The suspect has been identified as a white male between 20 and 30 years old. He was described as being six feet tall and about 180 pounds with a dark beard. He was last seen wearing a hooded jacket and dark jeans.

The NYPD is requesting that anyone with information related to this incident call the Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
