A 38-year-old man was busted by police for attempting to steal around $1,068 in female cosmetics from a Bay Ridge drugstore earlier this month.
According to police, the incident occurred at a chain store at Third Avenue and 93rd Street on Monday, April 3 at around 10:28 a.m.
Reports further claim that the man entered the store, grabbed the goods and tried to leave without paying. An employee approached him and a struggle ensued. The alleged crook tried to escape, hitting the employee in the face and arm.
He was arrested shortly after by cops who found a controlled substance possibly belonging to the man on the floor of the drugstore.
