Trio of attempted robbers injure two but leave empty-handed in Dyker

Cops say a man and woman were injured by a trio of attempted robbers in the vicinity of Seventh Avenue and 72nd Street in Dyker Heights last week.

Police say that on Monday, May 8, at approximately 10 p.m., the three men approached the home of one of the victims, a 24-year-old woman, and knocked on the door. As soon as she opened the door, one of the perps then allegedly grabbed her by the neck, aimed a firearm at her abdomen and demanded cash. When the victim’s male friend attempted to intervene, he sustained lacerations to his head, neck and face.

The trio then fled the area without taking any property from the victims.

Two of the suspects are said to be Asian men, approximately 25 to 30 years of age and 6’0″ and 6’3″, respectively. The third is said to be about 25 years old, and 5’7″.
