Chic Boutique of Bay Ridge provides style for all

After its soft opening in January, Chic Boutique of Bay Ridge, a specialty clothing store with a focus on affordability and a more casual style, has been embraced by a variety of women in the community.

“They’d rather go to me than a big department store,” said Christina Pagliaro-Nicchitta, owner. She says business has been good and the first six months have been a learning experience. While she first planned for a younger crowd, her business has attracted women of all ages and she has focused on carrying a variety of products.

Pagliaro-Nicchitta said that she has had customers as young as 13 and older women as well. “I have something for everyone,” she said.

Pagliaro-Nicchitta has also started to carry a wider range of products including bathing suits and lingerie hoping to provide affordable items for all ages, styles and needs.

“For me personally, more one-on-one relationships with the customers [are key]…If they want something in particular I do my best to get it,” said Pagliaro-Nicchitta. She said, as a lifelong boutique shopper, she wanted to make this small business fashion accessible to all.

Chic Boutique, 8122 Third Avenue, offers discounts to teachers and city workers.
