A 44-year-old man was arrested for striking a 72-year-old woman with sandals inside an apartment near Fifth Avenue and 56th Street on Friday, July 21 at around 1 a.m.
Reports claim that during an argument, the man, who is described as a friend of the victim, hit her in the face with his footwear, resulting in bruising.
The man was arrested on assault charges.
