A homemade hookah was the suspicious object in a bomb scare on 97th Street, near Fort Hamilton Parkway, that has turned out to be a false alarm, according to a police source.

Cops responded to the apparent bomb threat late in the afternoon on Friday, August 4.

According to police source, at around 4 p.m., the NYPD’s Emergency Service Unit responded to a call to the three-story apartment building, across the street from St. Patrick’s Catholic Academy, regarding the alleged threat.

Members of the 68th Precinct blocked off the entire block during the investigation.
