Welcome to the neighborhood.
The ribbon was cut on Ridgewood Savings Bank’s latest branch on Tuesday, September 12 in Clinton Hill during its Grand Opening Ceremony.
The location, 1035 Fulton Street, included speeches by President of Ridgewood Savings Bank and COO Leonard Stekol and Chairman and CEO Peter Boger, Borough President Eric Adams and more.
Along with celebrating the state-of-the-art facility, the theme of the day was to convey the branch’s accessibility, including banking services, loan and mortgage products and business banking services.
“The ceremony was a great success,” said Stekol. “After six months of planning, the execution of the event went as smoothly as we had hoped and predicted it would. We are particularly grateful to all of the politicians and dignitaries that were able to attend to celebrate this momentous occasion. This ceremony was, in a way, a representation of Ridgewood’s initiation into the community, and we look forward to becoming a larger part of the community in the coming years.”
“Ridgewood Savings Bank understands the needs of the customers in these communities,” added Superintendent of the NYS Department of Financial Services Maria Vullo.
Ridgewood personnel also discussed the neighborhood.
“Clinton Hill is a vibrant, diverse and flourishing community,” Stekol added. “It has an illustrious history, filled with inspirational stories of success from individuals like Charles Pratt and Walt Whitman. Clinton Hill has always attracted people that impacted the community and shaped it into what it is today. That has not stopped. The young professionals, families and students that call Clinton Hill home make this neighborhood a stimulating, welcoming environment. The members of the Clinton Hill community deserve greater banking opportunities. We are honored to be able to make this a reality.”
