PHOTOS: Brooklyn Chamber talks MTA with Lhota at annual membership meeting, trade show

The Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce held its Annual Membership Meeting and Trade Show on Wednesday, October 18 at Gargiulo’s, 2911 West 15th Street, in Coney Island.

This year’s keynote speaker was Joseph Lhota, chairperson of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority and senior vice president and vice dean, chief of staff at NYU Langone Medical Center.

During his remarks, Lhota, to a crowd of several hundred, outlined his “subway action plan,” which includes a $836 million program to help stabilize what he openly referred to as a broken system.

New York Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul also addressed the group.

The president and CEO of the Brooklyn Chamber is Andrew Hoan. The board chair is Denise Arbesu.
