Bringing the thrills to Bensonhurst.

Councilmember Vincent Gentile and NIA Community Services Network hosted a joint Autumn Family Day at Bensonhurst Park, Bay Parkway and Cropsey Avenue, on Saturday, October 28.

The festivities during the family event, which began at 5 p.m., included a movie screening, free giveaways, pumpkin painting and more.

At 6:30 p.m., the newest “Ghostbusters” was shown.

“Autumn Family Day at Bensonhurst Park was truly fun for all,” said Gentile. “It was great to see all the children come out to paint their free pumpkins, enjoy some popcorn and watch the ‘Ghostbusters’ movie with their friends and family. My office has always strongly supported our parkland, whether it be through funding local parks projects, community park cleanups or family events such as this one. I would also like to thank the New York City Parks Department, NIA Community Services Network, and Three Guys from Brooklyn for all of their help in making my Autumn Family Day a huge success.”
