Bed, bath and boos.
Roughly one year after its soft opening around the holidays last year, Beyond at Liberty View celebrated its first Halloween in the ‘hood with an inaugural Halloween Parade and Scavenger Hunt on Saturday, October 28, which it held in conjunction with Industry City.
The spook-tacular event, which began at 10 a.m., consisted of a full-fledged trick-or-treat scavenger hunt at all the stops in the Beyond shopping complex, as well as a ghoulish pumpkin patch, music and a visit from Captain America himself, all of which were followed by a parade down Third Avenue.
The event concluded at Industry City, 274 36th Street, with even more festivities (and perfect weather).
“It was amazing,” said Director of Brand Integration, Video and Promotions at Bed Bath & Beyond Bari Fagin. “We’re thrilled that Beyond at Liberty View and Industry City were able to partner and share this event with the community and all of Brooklyn.”
According to Fagin, attendees came from far and wide to revel in the festivities, hosted as a way to give back to the community while also paying homage to Beyond’s first year in Sunset Park.
“Beyond at Liberty View is approaching its first-year anniversary and Halloween presented us with the perfect opportunity to do something that was ‘beyond shopping,'” said Fagin, adding that Beyond at Liberty View and Industry City are already looking forward to a bigger and better Halloween event next year.
Beyond at Liberty View, 850 Third Avenue, encompasses Bed Bath & Beyond, Face Values, buybuy BABY and Cost Plus World Market, as well as a selection of eateries.
The Home Reporter and Brooklyn Spectator served as media sponsors of the event.
