Police from the 72nd Precinct discovered the decomposing body of a woman behind a Home Depot in Gowanus on Saturday, December 16.
Cops say that the woman was found fully-clothed and unresponsive in a rocky area along the shoreline of the Gowanus Canal, located behind a Home Depot at 550 Hamilton Avenue. The woman had no visible injuries.
An investigation into the identity of the woman is ongoing, but has been hindered by the level of decomposition.
