Cops seeking Kings Highway supermarket purse snatcher

Cops are hoping to identify the woman they say stole an 86-year-old’s purse inside a Key Food at 319 Kings Highway late last month.

According to authorities, just before 6 p.m. on Sunday, December 24, the elderly woman accidentally left her black handbag – which contained $6,200 in cash – on a freezer case; shortly thereafter, cops say, an unidentified woman was caught on camera snatching it and leaving the supermarket.

The suspect is said to be a white woman anywhere from 45 to 55 years old. She is further described as being five feet seven inches tall and weighing approximately 180 pounds with a heavy build, light complexion and blonde hair. She was last seen wearing a black jacket, black shirt, blue jeans and brown shoes.
