Cops arrest three suspects for umbrella assault in Sunset

A trio of men were arrested on assault charges Sunday, March 4 for allegedly punching a man and stabbing him with an umbrella in the Sunset Park area.

Authorities say that at around 2:10 a.m., a 30-year-old man was outside of a restaurant near the corner of 41st Street and Fifth Avenue when the three alleged attackers — Jose Sosa 39-years old, 35-year-old Juan Hernandez and 56-year-old Pliar Zenon — allegedly punched the victim during an altercation and then struck him with the umbrella.

The alleged attackers were arrested near the scene.

The victim was taken to NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn for treatment.
