Cops seek man who ran away with woman’s bag inside Bay Ridge train station

Cops are searching for a man wanted in connection with a purse-snatching in a subway station in Bay Ridge.

According to authorities, on Sunday, May 13 at around 10:35 p.m., a 41-year-old woman had her pocketbook stolen as she was leaving the 77th Street station.

According to the police, as the victim walked towards the turnstile, the suspect approached her and asked if she needed help carrying her luggage. He then grabbed the bag containing credit cards and $300, and fled the station southbound towards 76th Street.

Police describe the suspect as a white male in his 40s, approximately six feet tall. He was last seen wearing a green jacket, eyeglasses, a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt and black pants.
