NYPD seeks help to find repeat burglar striking in Ridge

The NYPD is asking for help in finding a man it believes has broken into two buildings in Bay Ridge.

The first incident was reported on Thursday, May 31 at around 12:33 p.m. in the area of Shore Road and Oliver Street. The suspect forced himself into the building through the front door and went up to the roof before climbing down the fire escape to the victim’s open window and stealing jewelry and electronics.

The second incident occurred the next day between 9 a.m and 12 p.m. at a building near Ovington Avenue and 6th Avenue, where the suspect repeated his modus operandi to get into the victim’s apartment. This time, the suspect only got away with electronics.

The individual in question is described as a light-skinned male, bald with black sunglasses. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweater, black sweatpants and white sneakers.
