Cops seek hit-and-run cyclist in Sunset

Police are looking for a cyclist suspected of leaving the scene of a collision in Sunset Park in which a man was injured.

Cops say that on Monday, June 4, 2018 at 5:50 p.m. a man, 39, was struck by the unidentified bicyclist while he was crossing the street at Seventh Avenue and 53rd Street. The victim — who was in the crosswalk when he was hit — suffered trauma to the head when he hit the ground, and was transported to NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn in critical condition.

Cops describe the cyclist as a Hispanic male, in his late teens to early 20s, with black hair, riding a black and red mountain bike. He was last seen wearing a brown jacket, red pants, a red backpack and black sneakers.
