Two crooks attack, rob man inside Bay Ridge train station

A man was attacked and robbed today at a Bay Ridge train station by a pair of perps who, once they had committed the crime, took off down the train tracks on foot.

According to reports, at around 1:30 p.m., the victim, a 30-year-old man, was on the southbound platform at the 77th Street R train station when the two unknown perps approached him.

One stood in front and the other behind the victim. The man behind the victim put him in a chokehold while the other displayed a knife and demanded his possessions. One of the duo punched the victim in the face, threw him to the ground, and kicked him, before taking the victim’s chain, wallet and cellphone.

The two assailants then fled by jumping on the roadbed and going into the tunnel.

Police describe the knife-wielding suspect as a white man in his 50s, 6”1’, with blond hair and blotchy skin. He was last seen wearing a black jacket. There is no description of the second suspect.

No arrests have been made.
