Thief pistol-whips deli worker

A thief attacked a worker in a deli on Fourth and Bay Ridge avenues Nov. 14.

The man entered the store at 3:30 p.m., walked behind the counter and hit the worker in the head with a gun, cops said. He fled with $2,000 in cash and $300 worth of cigarettes.

The worker refused medical attention.

The investigation is ongoing.
