Greek church has big turnout for Good Friday

Parishioners flocked to Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church for the Good Friday service April 14.

Father Gerasimos Makris carried the icon of Christ to a tomb decorated with flowers. He then led the congregation outdoors in a candlelight procession representing Christ’s descent into Hades.

The crowd returned the next evening for Holy Saturday services and again on Easter Sunday.
