Brooklyn Serial Murder Suspect Charged

The man known as “John Doe Duffel Bag” has been charged with three counts first degree murder on November 22 for killing three Middle Eastern shopkeepers between August and November.

After hours of questioning at the 67th Precinct, Staten Island resident Salvatore Perrone was charged on Thanksgiving Day, also his 64th birthday, for taking the lives of Bay Ridge business owner Mohamed Gebeli on July 6, Bensonhurst shopkeeper Isaac Kadare on August 2 and most recently, Flatbush business owner Rahmatollah Vahidipour on November 16.

All three men of Middle Eastern descent ran family-owned businesses and were gunned down while they were alone in their shops right around closing time with the same .22 caliber firearm.

Perrone’s next court date is November 27.
